I don’t know where I first saw it, heard it or came across it. But it describes two areas of academic interest as well as a meaningful personal instructional design philosophy through a play on words.
You can see the m-Learning which represents mobile learning and our vision of mobile technologies being utilized with effective learning designs. e-Learning is in there too encompassing the use of digital technologies to create learning experiences.
But the part I like about it is the ‘me’. Not me as the teacher. But imagine a student saying “Design the learning experience for me”.
As teaching and learning designers, we must continually refer to the students and use whatever theory, pedagogy, instruction etc… that will personalize the learning experience for them. meLearning is our job.
